WyoLum is a disparate band of friendly electronics enthusiasts who have collaborated on a number of cool projects, including an Open Source word clock called ClockThreeJr. This was a number of years ago now, but I’ve always loved my two board version ‘The Chronogram’ which has been adorning my kitchen wall for almost 10 years and still tells good time (to the minute…). This concept was further developed into the ClockIOT, which uses the internet to grab time and displays some cool animations too. A two board version of that was also born as the ‘Chromogram’ of which I have a couple of clocks too…(this shouldn’t surprise you in the least).
Well, with WyoLum’s blessing, we’re making some of them available for sale again, the ClockThreeJr and the Chronogram. I have a few Chromograms left for sale too, but after that, alas probably no more.
All are available currently as fully built clocks and there will be some degree of customization available (faceplate color and font). The original ClockThreeJr and Chronogram keep time using an RTC (real time clock with battery back up that lasts for several years should the USB power be interrupted). They also have DST rules built in so no need to worry about the time change. The Chromogram gets its time from the internet via WiFi, including DST rules.
