For Sale! One custom cased Z5680 clock!
Probably one of the largest and nicest Nixie Tube clocks you will ever see outside of Dalibor Farny’s Puri clocks. This clock is based upon PV Electronics Z568 board and uses 6 x Z5680 (now very rare) nixie tubes. These are the second largest nixie tubes ever in former production (The Rodan CD47 being the largest, but they’re rare as hen’s teeth….and can cost over well over $1000 a piece…). These tubes are also the inspiration for Dalibor Farny’s new nixie tube, the RJ568. To match the stunning display a custom clear anodized aluminum case and clear acrylic cover completes the whole design. On the rear you will find the buttons for setting the various parameters, two switches to turn off either the high voltage driving the tubes or the under-tube LEDs. There’s also a little voltmeter set in the back to remind you that these devices require over 170V DC to operate. The case also uses a machined acrylic sandwich illuminated to match the tube under lighting…it’s quite stunning in real life. The clock comes with a GPS receiver and a PIR (proximity sensor) so the tubes only illuminate when someone is there to see their beauty (this also leads to ultimate tube life).
