Originally offered for sale at KoolKlox.com this digital nixie tube clock is capable of displaying the time in decimal and/or binary using the included LEDs. This clock has been designed to provide many years of reliable operation using nothing but good old fashioned TTL logic. It displays the time with 6 NOS (New Old Stock) IN-12 nixie tubes from the Soviet Era and derives timekeeping from the mains frequency which actually gives pretty good accuracy over time. The kit has been improved by making the tubes socketed (in case replacements are needed), the case redesigned to accommodate the changes and can be supplied either fully built or as a complete kit of parts. This is by no means a beginner’s project as there are a lot of things to solder and high voltages are involved. A 34 page full color manual is available to all kit builders and gives easy to follow step-by-step instructions. The case can be custom engraved with messages on the back upon request and the color of the LEDs are also customizable.
